I’m starting a series of posts about how to make, promote and monetize your blog.Today I will teach you how to make a signature for your forums or e-mails signature, hi5/MySpace or any other place that accepts html or bbcode. If your signature has good visibility, your blog will have an increase of visitations. And that means more readers and most certainly more money…

To do a signature, you must follow some simple steps:


First Step

This step may be skiped by several of you. You need a FeedBuner account, and your blog feed well configured there.

Second Step

Log in to your FeedBuner account, go to your feed options, tab Publicize, options and then Headline Animator.

Here is where you create your signature. You have several options to explore, between colors and image size. After you’ve created your signature according to your wishes, press Activate.

Third Step
Now you have two options:

  • Choose the options on FeedBuner and your signature will be linked to your feed
  • Or change the code, making your signature linked to your blog

If you choose the second options, make a right click on the image signature, Properties, and copy the image address(URL).

Url example:

  • http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogdoantonio.gif?w=3&c=1&bb=v4pr

Now all you need to do it’s just replace the right url on code above.

On html - Hi5, MySpace, Facebook, Webpage, Mail

  • <a href=http://blog_url><img src=”image_url“></img></a>

On BBcode - Forums

  • [url=blog_url][img]image_url[/img][/url]

Now, everytime you make a new post, a few minutes later your signature will be updated with it.
